Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed by The Destinations Lab’s representative at the airport. After the warm welcome, you will be escorted to the hotel for your overnight stay. Upon arrival at the hotel, check into your room and retire for the day.Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Agra (210 Kms / Approx. 3 - 4 Hrs. drive)
Post breakfast check out from hotel for Agra. You will be driven towards the city of love via the Yamuna Expressway. Enroute visit Sikandra Fort- the resting place of the greatest Mughal Emperor Akbar. The fort was built by his son Jahangir in 1605–1613. Reach Agra and then check into your hotel. Unwind and spend rest of the time at leisure.Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Agra - Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (245 Kms/Approx. 4-5 Hrs. drive)
Early in the morning get ready to visit the Taj Mahal for an amazing view of the monuments. One of the world’s most visited monuments, the Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife – Mumtaz Mahal. Then, get back to hotel for breakfast. After your meal, check-out from hotel. Visit Agra Fort and then drive for Jaipur. The massive Fort is a perfect mix of the Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles and features courtyards, private chambers, and mosques. Continue your drive to Jaipur. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri – a 16th century built Mughal City and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After reaching Jaipur, Check into hotel and rest. Overnight at Hotel. Note: Taj Mahal is closed on Friday.

Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing
Have breakfast and then head out for Amber Fort. Enjoy an elephant ride to the gates of the Fort. The construction of the classic Amber Fort was started in 1592 and is a perfect fusion of the Mughal and Hindu styles of architecture. Then, visit Hawa Mahal, built in 1799. Popularly known as the Palace of Wind, the five-story structure features around thousand windows, intricately built to help the royal ladies have a look at the outside world, without being seen. Later, head to 18th century-built City Palace, followed by a visit to Jantar Mantar- a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest observatory. Before heading back to the hotel, visit the famous Birla Temple and indulge into some Shopping. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Jaipur - Delhi (260 Kms/Approx. 5-6 Hrs. drive)
Have breakfast and then check-out from hotel for Delhi. Get driven to your destination in the comfort of your private vehicle. Upon arrival in Delhi, check into hotel and spend rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6: Delhi - Cochin (By Flight)
In the morning get transferred to the airport to board your flight to Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin, you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After check-in, unwind and spend rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7: Cochin - Munnar (130 Kms/ Approx. 3 Hrs drive)
Have breakfast and then head out for Cochin sightseeing tour. Visit some of the famous points of attraction including Fort Cochin, also called Fort Emmanuel, constructed after the city’s ruler allowed the Portuguese to build a fort next to the waterfront. Then, visit the St. Francis church, colonial era’s first church where the body of Vasco-Da-Gama was buried, before being taken to Portugal. You will also come across the Chinese fishing nets, Santa Cruz Basilica, a Dutch cemetery, and the Cochin Thirumala Devaswom Temple. Later continue your drive to Munnar. En-route enjoy the scenic views of the surroundings as you make your way to the hill station. Upon arrival check into hotel and relax. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8: Munnar Sightseeing
Today post breakfast take out time to explore Munnar. Visit the Ananmudi – the highest peak of South India with a height of 2695 metres. Then, pay a visit to Christ Church followed by an excursion to the Eravikulam National Park. Also visit the Madupetty Dam, a famous spot for picnic and boating. You can also go for a Tea Plantation Tour in Munnar and explore the vast tea estate and learn a thing or two about India’s favourite beverage. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 9: Munnar - Periyar (Thekkady) (160 Kms / Approx. 4 Hrs drive)
Have breakfast and then drive to Periyar. Upon arrival in Periyar, check into Hotel and relax. After some time get ready for some sightseeing. Visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Home to the Periyar Lake – an artificial water source to the wildlife, the Wildlife Sanctuary is surrounded by the high ranges of the Western Ghats. The dense greenery invites a lot of wildlife species including elephants, tigers, gaurs, sambars, lion tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs. You can also enjoy a boat ride at the Periyar Lake and witness surroundings. Later, get back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Periyar – Kumarakom
Have breakfast and then check-out from hotel for Kumarakom. En-route go for a Spice Plantation Tour in Periyar. Here you can know about a variety of spices grown in Kerala including cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, turmeric, ginger, and curry leaves. Moreover, Kerala is also known for its cultivation of rubber, vanilla and coffee. Get to know about these spices and increase your knowledge. Later, continue your drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival check into hotel and relax. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11: Kumarakom - Alleppey (Houseboat stay)
In the morning after breakfast, drive to Alleppey. Upon arrival in Alleppey, check into your houseboat. During the stay enjoy the scenic views of the backwaters of Kerala. A treat to the eyes, the backwaters of Kerala are the highlight of the state. Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 12: Alleppey - Cochin (Departure)
In the morning, check-out from houseboat and get driven to the Cochin airport to board your flight for onward destination.
