Day 1: Arrival Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed by The Destinations Lab’s representative at the airport. After the warm welcome, you will be escorted to the hotel for your overnight stay. Upon arrival at the hotel, check into your room and retire for the day.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
In the morning, have breakfast and then get ready to explore the wonderful capital city. On your city tour discover some of the famous highlights of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Start off with a visit to Jama Masjid – one of India’s largest mosque built in 1656 followed by a visit to Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s oldest and biggest market where you can find almost everything. Also enjoy a rickshaw ride through the streets of Old Delhi, starting from Fatehpuri Masjid to Red Fort. Then, visit Red Fort – the historic Fort that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. Later, drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s House), Parliament House, and India Gate - a war memorial built in honour of the brave hearts who died in World War I. You will then proceed towards Qutub Minar – a UNESCO World heritage site dating back to 1193. Built under the reign of Qutub-ud-din-Aibak, Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. In the evening, get back to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3: Delhi – Amritsar (By Morning Train)
In the morning check-out from hotel for New Delhi Railway Station. Board your train to Amritsar. Upon arrival in Amritsar, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representative. Check- into hotel and unwind. Spend rest of the time at leisure or you can also explore the nearby area or local markets.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Amritsar Sightseeing
After breakfast get ready for Amritsar sightseeing tour. Explore the famous attractions of the city, including the Golden Temple – the holiest Sikh temple and one of the most significant Sikh shrines. The temple features four entrances, depicting the fact that it welcomes people from all religions and faiths. The gurdwara is constructed around a sarovar (man-made). Then, visit the Jallianwala Bagh – a memorial made in memory of the memory of those killed during the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that occurred here on 13 April 1919. Later, visit Durgiana Temple. In the evening, visit Wagah Border for the Beating retreat Ceremony. After the experience, get back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5: Amritsar - Delhi (by Morning Train) / Delhi - Agra (by drive)
In the morning, check-out from hotel for the railway station. Board your train to Delhi and after reaching Delhi you will be picked up from the railway station to continue your drive to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at hotel and relax. Spend rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6: Agra - Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (245 Kms/Approx. 4-5 Hrs. drive)
Early in the morning get ready to visit the Taj Mahal for an amazing view of the monuments. One of the world’s most visited monuments, the Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife – Mumtaz Mahal. Then, get back to hotel for breakfast. After your meal, check-out from hotel. Visit Agra Fort and then drive for Jaipur. The massive Fort is a perfect mix of the Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles and features courtyards, private chambers, and mosques. Continue your drive to Jaipur. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri – a 16th century built Mughal City and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After reaching Jaipur, Check into hotel and rest. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7: Jaipur Sightseeing
Have breakfast and then head out for Amber Fort. Enjoy an elephant ride to the gates of the Fort. The construction of the classic Amber Fort was started in 1592 and is a perfect fusion of the Mughal and Hindu styles of architecture. Then, visit Hawa Mahal, built in 1799. Popularly known as the Palace of Wind, the five-story structure features around thousand windows, intricately built to help the royal ladies have a look at the outside world, without being seen. Later, head to 18th century-built City Palace, followed by a visit to Jantar Mantar- a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest observatory. Before heading back to the hotel, visit the famous Birla Temple and indulge into some Shopping. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8: Jaipur - Delhi (260 Kms/Approx. 5-6 Hrs. drive) – Departure
Have breakfast and then check-out from hotel for Delhi. Get driven to your destination in the comfort of your private vehicle. Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to airport to board onward flight.
